This cutter doesn't seem to work half as good as the original. Takes a lot longer to chop ice, doesn't seem to mix as well, and is noisier. I purchased this in hopes of avoiding buying a new blender since the reviews of new affordable ones are so dismal.

My original 1973 piece separated at the base. This one fits the machine and glass jar fine. The rivet on the top isn't finished off as cleanly as the original (just the bolt). Seems a cheaper version, but isn't everything these days.
