As my children leave home, I'm outfitting them with gently-used Electrolux canister vacs. Unfortunately the suction is usually poor on aged original hoses due to the rubber liner leaking (it's fine at the canister junction).

We went for the genuine and glad we did. This one matches the canister and plastic hose is MUCH better than the fabric hose with rubber core which breaks down after a few years. Definitely worth the extra cost.

Needed to replace older hose which had lost it's suction power due to the aging and cracking of the rubber sleeve in the hose. I had previously purchased a generic hose which was fine, but also would slip off the power hose occasionally. Glad I purchase

I was a little apprehesive about buying another vaccuum hose due to the price. This was worth the money. It is more heavy duty than the last hose, which broke when it was dropped too many times. I feel like the quality of the hose pieces are much more rug
