I have white carpets in every room (and a black Mainecoon longhaired cat). Using Kirby shampoo (recommended by Kirby carpet shampooer) cost me a fortune. Using Stain-X does just as good a job if not better, at a fraction of the cost. For really heavily so

I clean our carpets with a steam cleaner (steam comes from the hot water) with good results when you work diligently to extract the applied dirty water out of the carpet. This product requires you to apply with the rotating brushes, and then v03/08/10
