I love it! It makes the hose glide so easily across floors, and prevents scuffs on wall corners and furniture. It was a bit of a pain to install, next time I would buy the zippered one for easier installation and so I can easily remove it to wash.

The sock is easily put onto the hose with the tube provided. In addition to preserving the life of the hose as well as my baseboards, it keeps the hose from kinking as much.

I have a separate extention cord for my vac head. The sock is great for keeping it in place. It also reduces kinking and makes it easier to drag around... just like you said it would.

If you have central vac, this is a MUST! It comes with great directions so make sure you read well before you attempt to put the sock on the hose It is great because as you drag the hose over time it gets little pin holes which makes it less effective Aro
