Sharp HEPA-Filter Air Purifier with Plasmacluster Technology - Ideal for those living with sensitivities to dust and allergens, this air purifier combines passive air filtration with active air treatment to help clear the air of pollen and airborne irritants. Its washable pre-filter works as an initial filter to trap dust and other airborne particles. In addition, the appliance effectively captures 99.97 percent of airborne contaminants larger than 0.3 microns, including bacteria and mold, which pass through its HEPA filter. The unit also comes equipped with a washable active carbon filter that helps remove odor and lasts up to five years. Along with filtering the air, the air purifier cleans indoor air the way nature does outdoors thanks to its Plasmacluster technology. In clean mode, the unit emits positive and negative ions into the air to deactivate impurities. In ion-control mode, it emits additional negative ions, which occurs in nature near waterfalls or just after a thunderstorm. Designed for rooms up to 253 square feet, the unit's high mode purifies 141 cubic feet per minute, and its silent mode purifies 18 cubic feet per minute.
