The lid hinge broke in about a year and the plastic handle is cracked at the top edge of the coffee pot. The handle will soon detach and when it does the pot and hot coffee will fall. Either I need to invent a fix or stop using the pot after about a year and one-half.

I've broken so many coffee carafs that I was happy to find this stainless steel one. It fits perfectly and won't break. So that's great. BUT, when pouring coffee, it dribbles all over the place. I've tried pouring slowly, quickly, holding it in different ways, but it still dribbles alot and makes a mess. I have to hold it over the sink to pour my coffee. It would be perfect otherwise, but not being able to pour without getting coffee all over the place is a big CON.
