I use my blender only infrequently, but after 35 years it still works fine. When the bowl cracked, I thought I'd just have to throw it away. I was so pleased that I could still get a replacement for it.

it fits correctly but after mixing your liquids, it leaks from the bottom. Maybe the glass jar would of been better.
