Fan looks durable, compared to the plastic fan I replaced both the fan and motor in my XL at the same time Suction is very good, machine works well Drawback is it sounds much louder now OK if you vacuum at the middle of the day, but too noisy otherwise If

[] The product was so substandard(out of balance) it could not be used Had it replaced and the second was same as the firstFinally replaced it with a metalloy fan at twice the price ,which works well

We tried this fan as the plastic original was abraded and nicked from picking up spilled kitty litter, buttons, sandy and gravelly dirt around entrance doors

This fan made an unbelievable noise It sounded like a fighter jet taking off I thought the metal fan would be a sturdy replacement for the worn plastic fan in my Oreck XL First problem was the space in middle of the blades where the nut goes was too ti

The metal fan made the vacuum incredibly loud After about 10 minutes, I opened the vacuum back up and put the plastic fan back on The machine seemed to have better suction with the metal fan, but the noise was unbearable

I clean Apartments and I can't not use my vacuum if is to early because it gad louder with the metal fan so I replaced with the plastic one,but if you don't care about the noise it is good

Sounded like a good idea, since the first fan blade broke apart Installed this metal blade and the sound of it is unbearable I ordered the original part and it's back to normal operation
