Agitator brushes wear away with time at a slow rate.... slow enough to be virtually unperceivable. Your vacuum just doesn't seem to do the job. Most folks go buy a new one. A few new parts like a new agitator brush and belt and new filters can restore

Instead of buying a new vacuum cleaner, we decided to replace filters, belts, and brush. Now, for a fraction of the cost of a new vacuum, we have one that works just as good as a new one.
