The part was needed in order for my old Hoover to self propel. My son installed it, and got it adjusted properly which was a pain. It would be easier to just take it somewhere for repair, but much cheaper this way.

Part was a match getting the forward - backward adjustment wass challenging to say the least It is back working +!
