I've read reviews at other sites saying the generic doesn't work the same as the parts don't fit correctly The reviews are wrong, it works fine

I doubt that anyone checked to make sure the generic filter would fit the vacuum cleaner Wife was ready to throw out the filter and go back to the original brand but we finally got it to fit after removing the handle
