It's quite simple. If you have a KitchenAid blender and the clutch has fallen apart, this part will get you going again. It's a lot less expensive and wasteful than buying a new blender.

Look at the holes the beaters go into. It shoudl be round with two slots not round with four slots. Self-cleaning stainless steel beaters mix chocolate chip cookie dough easily.
