The filter is used to vacuum up toner dust and does an excellent job. I also like that it is washable and reusable.

Filter is easily cleaned with garden hose and never deteriorates, can be sprayed with degreaser if it is really dirty/oily Will probably outlast the vaccuum cleaner I have one for 8 years and still works perfect after 50+ washings Expensive but worth it
