If you want to use this attachment on a upright model you apparently have to by different extension wands.

This was to be a replacement of Eureka Part No 54785 for the Eureka Europa 6900 Series However, it came without the attachment hole to accommodate the secure-and-release button It appears that the manufacturer just forgot to drill and countersink a hole,
